Call for Nominations, October 2015

hands raised in classDo you have lots of free time and love to work for no pay?

Oh… well, maybe you’ll still consider volunteering to be part of the MAPVI board! We’re looking for people who want to help support families with children with visual impairments in Massachusetts. The work actually isn’t that hard and won’t take up too much of your time, but you do need to be dedicated and ready to meet new people.

Gustafer Yellowgold Concert Event, October 24 2015

Gustafer Yellowgold

Come join us for a fun concert at the Regent Theatre in Arlington on October 24th! The music begins at 10:30am.

Gustafer Yellowgold is a performance show by singer and artist Morgan Taylor. Morgan plays upbeat and silly songs about the character Gustafer, who is a visitor to earth from the sun! You’ll get to learn how Gustafer came to earth and met all his interesting friends (like a singing bee or his pet eel) – and the entire story is told through song!

Morgan also displays bright, slow-moving animations on a large screen while he plays his music. The images are mesmerizing and actually really captivating for kids with CVI and low vision, especially since all the images move with the music.

MAPVI is getting a group rate for this show. Tickets will be $5 for adults and free for kids for families who are members, $8 per person for families who are nonmembers.

The theatre is located at 7 Medford Street in Arlington with a large parking lot across the street. The theatre is also completely wheelchair accessible.

Please contact Amber at or call 617-923-1241 to reserve your spot. You can pay for you tickets through PayPal. RSVPs must be in by October 21st in order to participate in MAPVI’s group rate.
